Moments of Awareness: The Weight of the Room

Yesterday, we established the perimeter. Today, we cross the threshold.

In Chapter Two: The Inner Sanctuary, the camera moves from the wild dirt of the Courtyard, across a bridge that builds itself under our feet, and straight through the heavy iron doors of the Cathedral.

We chose not to score this piece with music. Music often acts as an emotional buffer. We wanted the pure, raw environmental weight of the space to speak for itself. You hear the lock disengage. You hear the stone materialize. You hear the heavy doors blow open to reveal the Council in session at the Altar.

When you stop over-embellishing your existence, you realize how much power there is in simply letting things be what they are. We don't need to dress up the Sanctuary. We just need to open the doors.
